ASV Final Drives
ASV pioneered compact off-road track-driven vehicles in the early 1980s by combining a truck body with rubber crawler tracks, the Track Truck. This innovative Track Truck allowed the vehicle to traverse even delicate ground with less without causing damage, unlike crawler tractors.
In an effort to expand their market to other applications, they pioneered the Posi-Track loader. The Posi-Track included a quick-attach mechanism that allowed it to function as a brush cutter, bulldozer, auger, mower, and more. This allowed them to branch out into landscaping, residential and larger construction jobs, forestry and agricultural industries. Working closely with Caterpillar, ASV developed the rubber-tracked multi-terrain loader, which causes minimal damage to working surfaces and has minimal impact on the environment.
ASV was eventually purchased by Terex. However, they still continue to specialize in skid steer loaders and compact track loaders.
