Doosan Final Drives

Doosan is the fifth largest construction manufacturing equipment company in the world, but they also serve the mining, material handling, demolition, and forestry industries. They began manufacturing in 1937 but didn’t focus on construction equipment until the 70s and didn’t come out with their first wheel loader until 1992.

In 2007 they acquired Ingersoll Rand’s compact equipment unit and Bobcat. They own Geith and Tramac and in 2005 purchased Daewoo Heavy Industries. Most recently, though Doosan Infracore was purchased by Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings Co., set to become Hyundai Doosan Infracore, combining two global giants in construction equipment.
